playing detective ...

2009
Nelly
Won Pre-enty Canterdown Event

She had been purchased by her rider from a horse dealer. She had been sold to the dealer instead of privately because she was stopping randomly at fences. She was purchased as a project, evented the once and then sold on. In that month she never stopped.

She went to a home that had her less than three months. She was not happy it seems and was sold quite quickly despite great aspirations for her.  She was sold to a school and has been a school horse since 2010. She didn't love that either. She liked her part boarders just fine.

Now she seems quite happy.

Hoping to find out about her early years someday - maybe even including her age!!

Go Nelly

Fabulous lesson yesterday. Nelly is really starting to think for herself.

Working the body and brain is so good. Great vet check with Poppy too and then a great work session with her as well. Always such a treat to be able to spend time with the dogs and horses.

Spring really could arrive any time tho! A year ago today we had buds and flowers. Today we have snow cover with snow flurries!

Winter is hanging on by her fingernails

We wooded a bit - thanks for the help Sally!

The dogs ran and played and played and ran.

Then we all relaxed at the ridge. A lovely lovely day.
Snow will melt fast I suspect if the day temperature stays above zero.

Then it will be mud season.

Oh yay!
