Reflections from a snow bank ...

Today was one of those days where I was buffeted and bruised.

A horse stood on me. Ouch.

I got knocked over. OUCH.

A horse got loose on me. DOH.

I also got to meet my newest, very pretty, project (see top horse) and had a great ride on Nelly.

I suspect I may be pretty bruised tomorrow!

And so farm life goes!

Diversification

Many ways to pay out less money.
Growing our own food.
Reducing bills.
Cutting, drying and using our own wood for the wood stove.


So many ways to create little revenue streams.

Tutoring.

Selling farm gate eggs and chickens.

Teaching agility and scenting skills (and likely someday basic puppy class).

Today I added one to the pot - filming and producing sale videos for horses. What a great way to combine things I am passionate about. May this video lead to many more!

Didn't get to film much - but we had a great ride yesterday! Next time I'll try to film the working bits!

I just got asked if I wanted to ride a mare for the winter. Uhhh yes!

Meet Nelly. A 17 yo tb mare with LOTS of talent and a serious lack of fitness.

We will have a ton of fun keeping each other fit and happy.
