Wildlife week ...

been a neat week for wildlife


long tailed ducks on their way north

geese

hawk

deer and wild turkeys  but no camera for them even though they were 40 feet and 10 feet away respectively ...

hearing coyotes

neighbours report seeing a fisher on our street - hope he doesn't visit the rabbits and chickens once they are here

the crocus are up and the garlic is doing it's best to get a head start ...

had a lovely visit with Decima, Morta and Nona too - amazed me how instantly I knew our girls and how quickly they knew us ...

A trip to Ktown ... on a wordless Wednesday

Another lovely day!

The Upper pond is VERY full and strikingly beautiful.

The spring bulbs planted the last two falls are starting to poke up. Neat hidden gems.

 Explored another new piece of the larger farm. The field beside Coyote Run. It has lots of natural paths in the woods leading the field. The dogs love exploring the new bits of the farm.

A side trip to Paradise right?

Today was incredible

while a little gray for the photos it was warm and glorious .. there was no snow at all  unlike previous years.

Nobody but us there

Honestly - a week a year in Hawaii or this many times whenever our spirits need or want restoration? The answer is clear to us.

Happy, tired dogs and people!

Visited Lake House Today

Collected some rocks

Tidied up a bunch of blown trees (which meant getting lots of small branches for kindling and lots of willow and birch for the bunnies!)

Enjoyed lake watching and taking snaps of the dogs at play

What a lovely spot!

We all had a blast ..

What a walk!!

Big T and I went for a long walk at the farm today. The dogs ran, and jumped and smelled and just had the best of times.

We explored parts of the farm we had never explored before.

And enjoyed old favourite views too!

Down a new path! Found a LARGE working cattle sorting station - that really could easily be 2 small paddocks already!

Lovely time was had by all!

It's nearly here .....

another week of work and play in Prince Edward County


just a little excited

• if the weather is great hopefully we can get some more compost worked into the garden beds - I'll be tempted to plant early stuff (onions especially) but should probably refrain ... we'll see how wet and gross it is 
• if the weather is mild I look forward to long walks at the acres and I bet Big T wants to wood
• if the weather is vile I can easily see curling up by the fire and watching the days slip by, knitting, reading and just being companionable

any of the above suits me just fine!
